A MERCEDES engine is factory-tuned to ensure the air/fuel mixture entering the engine is as precise as possible. When you want to increase the power of your MERCEDES SPRINTER 5 T, you need to increase the air intake and add more fuel. You might say: "But won't I consume more fuel?" Well, that depends on how you use the engine. When you drive calmly in the maximum torque range, the additional torque provided by the performance module allows you to drive in a higher gear, saving fuel by running the engine at lower RPMs thanks to the increased torque. It's as simple as that.
The answer is simple, just like installing a Motor Sport® performance module: open the hood, remove the plastic engine cover, and locate the connectors of the fuel injection pump. If you choose the RACE version of our performance module, also locate the turbo pressure connector on the air intake manifold. By connecting the performance module, the injection and boost pressure data (only on RACE versions) will be optimized together to maintain the ideal air/fuel mixture necessary for reliable and long-term power increases.

Our engine remapping kits are compatible with both manual and automatic transmissions, including older and new-generation systems. This includes dual-clutch automated gearboxes such as DSG, Stronic, Tiptronic, Multitronic, DCT, BMP, and ETG. The STOP & START system, as well as the catalytic pollution control system and the particulate filter, are managed by the original ECU, and the performance module does not interfere with these functions.
